Atlona Technologies® today announced that the company’s Si and Signature line matrix switchers have earned Control4® certification, ensuring compatibility and smooth integration with Control4 home automation systems. In addition, the company will be hitting the road with Control4 as part of the 2011 dealer education tour.
All components earning Control4 certification must pass rigorous interoperability tests in Control4 labs. Atlona offers a wide range of Control4-certified matrix switchers for home theater, light commercial A/V systems, and large-scale digital signage, government, military, and heavy commercial applications. In addition to Control4 certification, many Atlona matrix switchers feature RS-232 interfaces and use the standard ASCII format, making them compatible with most major control systems.
“At Atlona, we are committed to making the lives of installers easier in the field, while providing the best possible systems for their clients. Earning Control4 certification for our switching products is a testament to that commitment,” said Ilya Khayn, president of Atlona Technologies. “Installers utilizing Control4 automation systems can be confident that our powerful solutions can be integrated seamlessly, providing simplified operation over multiple sources and displays. We look forward to discussing the exciting possibilities with dealers on the Control4 dealer education tour.”
Control4 enables third-party manufacturers to design products that easily integrate with the successful Control4 platform. With more than 6,500 drivers from 150 different companies, Control4 enables leading consumer electronics devices to integrate into a Control4 system.
“Control4 has long held the view that in order to drive home automation adoption, everything in the home must work together,” said Control4 CEO Will West. “Control4-certified products improve the operation of home theaters, multiroom music, lighting, temperature control, energy management, and security by improving both compatibility and functionality before installation. We are pleased to add Atlona Technologies to our esteemed list of partner brands.”
Now in its seventh year, the annual dealer education tour provides dealers with education, technical training, and face-to-face interactions from the Control4 team. On the tour, Atlona (atlona.com) will meet with dealers and discuss how they can leverage the company’s Control4-certified matrix switchers for their businesses. The tour will visit 15 cities from March through October, and will offer two simultaneous tracks for attendees, one focusing on sales and management strategies and the other offering technical training and support.
