Holmen comes to Silverpop from The Marketing Arm, an Omnicom company, where he served as senior vice president of its wireless division.
Holmen is a 20-year marketing veteran, having also served as President of mobile marketing firm SmartReply, where he grew revenue by more than 800 percent in seven years. Holmen has co-authored three books focused on mobile marketing and frequently speaks about the future of technology for marketers.

Before joining SmartReply, Holmen served in various marketing leadership roles in agency, entrepreneurial, and corporate settings, including Catalina Marketing and Sears. He earned a bachelor's degree in management from the Univeristy of the Redlands and an advanced certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Innovation and Strategy. He has been awarded four patents for marketing and technology process.
