Allied Artists Film Group has today announced the appointment of industry executive Carmela Evangelista as Managing Director of Allied Artists of Canada. United States based Allied Artists Film Group produces and distributes films under the iconic motion picture brands Allied Artists Pictures and Monogram Pictures. Throughout her career, Evangelista has worked with MGM, Warner Bros., MTV, Paramount, Universal, Disney, Lions Gate, Sony/Tri-Star, Fox, and Miramax. She has additionally represented clients appearing on episodic television and movies of the week through HBO, Showtime, USA Films, NBC, CBS, and ABC. Evangelista has had talent attached to many film and television properties, including X-Men, Steven Spielberg's Taken, Santa Clause 2, Cody Banks and Scary Movie.
Peter Liapis, President of Allied Artists Film Group, commented that, “Carmela will concentrate her efforts on producing feature films and television programming under the Allied Artists banner. Evangelista will maintain offices in Vancouver, BC and at the company's corporate headquarters in Southern California, while coordinating the Canadian contingent of film group operations around the globe.
