The solution includes power module, hot-swappable batteries and integrated power distribution. This new InfraStruXure system offers quick connect components and turnkey features to speed up deployment time. The system also decreases total-cost-of-ownership by minimising space and reducing operating, installation and expansion costs. Since the InfraStruXure with Smart-UPS VT architecture uses a modular and scalable design approach, users can expand the system by adding APC’s innovative in-row cooling, centralised management and security products for enhanced capabilities.
“Our legendary and award winning Smart-UPS line coupled with our innovative InfraStruXure architecture provide our customers with highly agile and available solutions for their IT environments,” said Dwight Sperry, APC’s vice president of Enterprise Systems and Business Networks. “The system’s high power density, small form factor and modular architecture make it ideal for applications ranging from high density, disaster recovery and VoIP/IP telephony.”
This new network critical physical infrastructure (NCPI) solution offers a fully-integrated system at a lower initial investment and incorporates several innovative features such as a single rack-based design for better utilisation of floor space, higher power efficiency for lower operating costs and a new power distribution design for simplified installation and expansion. Finally, the system improves availability with additional internal battery capacity for runtime scalability.
“Customers will find this a valuable solution because it removes many of their complex networking, cabling and power provision issues. We have spoken to most of our customers and identified the few hot spots which we believe our integrated ISX solution is able to help them address,” said Low Seh Min, Country Sales Manager, APC Singapore Pte Ltd.
The new InfraStruXure with Smart-UPS VT is ideal for server rooms and small data centres as well as for remote locations including regional offices. The systems are available in 30KVA and 40KVA, 400V input and are now available throughout Asia, excluding Japan.
APC’s InfraStruXure is on-demand architecture for network-critical physical infrastructure (NCPI). The InfraStruXure design, which integrates power, cooling, rack, management and services, allows the selection of standardised components to create a solution through modular and mobile configurations. This standardisation enables an easily scalable architecture designed to meet changing needs and future expansion. This award-winning, patent-pending approach provides increased availability, improved adaptability and speed of deployment as well as lower total cost of ownership for IT environments – from wiring closets to computer rooms to data centres.
With integrated management becoming a critical component in the NCPI, APC offers comprehensive management solutions including InfraStruXure Manager. A browser accessible, user-friendly tool, InfraStruXure Manager provides monitoring of power, cooling, and environmental management at the rack or room level. APC also provides professional services that optimise the NCPI over the complete data centre life cycle, including planning, installation, operation and end-of-life services.
