Keeping Olympic Games-2008 in mind, the foreign carriers want Chinese government to accelerate its deregulation efforts in budding telecommunication market. The subscriber base is supposed to cross 880 million this year, because of government's decision to modernize the telecom industry. The subscriber's base in China is prognosticated to be a world leader by 2008, when the Chinese telecom market will grow by 26%.
