In 1999, Willa Ford, then performing under the stage name Mandah, signed with MCA. With MCA, she released a song called "Lullaby" on the double-platinum soundtrack Pokemon: The First Movie. Moving past the celebrity gossip, in 2001, Willa Ford's hard work and golden voice led to the production of her first Album with Atlantic Records, "Willa Was Here".
