National Algae Association is honored to announce that the following companies have committed to present at its next conference, which will be held on January 13-14, 2011, at the Biotech Institute at Lone Star College: Energy Derived, Louisiana State University, Stoel Rives, OriginOil, Oregon State University, BARD Holding, Alfa Laval, New Energy Solutions, Novak Druce & Quigg LLP, AgriFuels, Parry Nutraceuticals, Invensys, Waterwheel Factory, Emerging Markets Online, Chadbourne & Parke LLP, Millipore Corporation and Mustang Engineering.
NAA will provide updates on its initiatives, including the 100 Acre Challenge and the Algae Production Incubator program. Day One of the conference will conclude with a tour of the Biotech Institute, including the lab and the algae growing facilities. Educators are invited to attend an Algae Research and Curriculum Collaboration on Day Two of the conference, to be led by Dr. Charles Bensinger of Santa Fe Community College, where the algae curriculum is being taught for the second year. Preceding the conference on January 12, NAA will hold its second Algae Production Certification Program.
In keeping with its mission to fast-track commercialization of algae, National Algae Association (nationalalgaeassociation.com) is pleased to announce that algae production has begun at an Algae Production Incubator facility. Land with water, CO2, wastewater, transportation and/or other components needed to grow algae is available in three states, and NAA is in the process of reviewing needs and proposals to determine the locations best suited to each situation.
