Sesame Workshop, the non-profit organization that produces Sesame Street, and Impelsys are giving fans a reason to cheer this holiday season with the introduction of a new monthly subscription to the Sesame Street eBookstore (ebooks.sesamestreet.org) that provides unlimited access for $3.99. The eBookstore, run and managed by Impelsys, contains a library of more than 125 Sesame Street eBooks, with new titles added on a regular basis.
The eBookstore features a collection of fun and educationally rich Sesame Street titles such as Elmo’s ABC Book, Abby in Wonderland and Grover’s Guide to Good Eating. eBook titles cover 19 subject areas including letters, numbers, counting, colors and cultural appreciation. Titles are offered in a variety of formats:
• eBooks that allow a child to read along at their own pace;
• audio eBooks that contain narration, sound effects, and music;
• animated eBooks that bring beloved Sesame Street characters and stories to life in full-color animation;
• interactive eBooks that invite children to play along and learn.
“We are confident that the eBooks will be a big hit this holiday season with parents and kids enjoying time together reading! The $3.99 price for monthly access is another way to enjoy more than 125 fun and interactive Sesame Street eBooks starring all your favorite characters from Elmo to Big Bird,” said Impelsys CEO Sameer Shariff.
“We are excited about this new option, which provides families more flexibility to engage with Sesame Street books,” said Jennifer A. Perry, Vice President of Worldwide Publishing, Sesame Workshop. “Sesame Workshop gives children a wide variety of ways to read with and about their Sesame Street friends, and this latest eBooks offering extends the opportunities for literacy and learning on a platform preschoolers and their parents are using more and more regularly.”
The standard subscription price is $39.99 for one year of unlimited access.
