The Video for Learning LAB & Seminar has been scheduled by The MASIE Center for January 2011 in Saratoga Springs, NY. Focused on the increasing role of Video Stories and Video Chat, the LAB will build organizational abilities and strategies for leveraging video for workforce learning and performance.
Led by Elliott Masie, Chair of The Learning CONSORTIUM, Video for Learning LAB provides corporate learning professionals with a vendor-neutral deep dive into deploying video for a wide range of organizational training and performance goals:
• Corporate YouTube: Building a collection of short and targeted video stories and examples of procedures, challenges and cultural advice for fellow employees.
• Video Chat for Expertise: Leveraging Skype and Google Video for instant desktop video access to internal and external expertise.
• Guest Experts by Video in Classrooms: Models for bringing guest experts and employee resources into classrooms for short visits via low cost video models.
• Making Video Discoverable: Searching and promoting video in the organization, along with legal and compliance issues.
Over 75 global organizations have participated in previous editions of Video for Learning LAB including learning leaders from The Kellogg Company, MasterCard International, Farmers Insurance Group, Procter & Gamble and The Department of Veterans Affairs.
Video for Learning LAB & Seminar will be held from January 10 - January 12, 2011 at the MASIE Center Learning LAB: a 10,000 square foot facility dedicated to emerging technologies for learning, located in Saratoga Springs, NY.
