Madgex, the UK market leader in job board software and B2B web publishing systems, has been hired by logisticsmanager.com, the UK’s leading online resource for supply chain professionals, to provide a classified property solution that will enable the logistics industry to search for warehouses (known as sheds) via the Internet.
Called LM Sheds, the classified property site is the first online resource of its kind. To date, the logistics industry has relied on an annual print directory to source and locate shed storage. The classified solution, which has been incorporated into the logisticsmanager.com website, provides a database of sheds across the UK that are available to buy or rent. Providing an online resource means that the logistics industry can access constantly updated information, rich search facilities and multimedia content.
LM Sheds is based on Madgex’s award-winning Origin Classified Solution, and has been built in such a way that it can be extended across the European warehouse market at a later date. Alongside the searchable database, LM Sheds provides advertisers with ‘self-service’ ad placement and rich media capability, as well as reports on how their advertisements are performing.
The application incorporates flexible search criteria, both in metric and imperial units of measure, including rental or sale prices, available size and location. It also provides email alerts to notify registered users about new sheds that meet their search requirements, and online access to advertisers’ brochures.
