Astellia, a leading provider of monitoring solutions for the optimization of mobile network QoS and performance was yesterday awarded with the ‘Performance Prize’ by the prestigious French newspaper ‘Les Echos’, in association with Air France and American Express.

Organised by ‘Les Echos’, a leading French economic and business newspaper, this prize rewards companies in three different performance categories: young enterprise, export and growth. Astellia was among the 3 winners of this year’s awards, being rewarded with the prize for Export due to its very strong international growth.

‘We are very happy to have won this award. Our success in export is proof of the strong reputation we have acquired amongst operators for our expertise in mobile network optimization on an international scale’ says Christian Queffelec, CEO and co-founder of Astellia.

Created 10 years ago, Astellia supplies both hardware and software solutions to mobile operators to help them optimize the performance of their networks and supply the best quality of service to their subscribers particularly for 3G services. The company quickly developed its activity on international markets and three quarters of the 25.5 million euro turnover in 2009 was generated outside the French market.

Astellia is now closer to its 150 clients with the opening of sales offices in the U.S., Brazil, Singapore, Lebanon and South Africa. To accelerate its export development, Astellia was listed on the Alternext stock market in 2007. The company is continuing its expansion, with the recent creation of a subsidiary in Mumbai to conquer the Indian market which is experiencing strong growth. New offices have also been opened in the Czech Republic and Russia.

Christian Queffelec adds ‘Our international development will continue as the operators’ needs for mobile network optimization are growing fast especially in emerging countries such as India which counts 15 million new subscribers every month’.
