Marlow, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom, 2010/10/29 - Chartered accountancy firm BDO welcomed IT provider Softcat to the British capital. Softcat, which is currently The Sunday Times’ Best Small Company to Work For, opened a new office in Moorgate, London, last week.
As well as bringing Softcat closer to London-based clients like BDO, the move will help the company to attract high-quality graduate employees to support its consistent year-on-year growth. Over the next three years it aims to recruit 100 new employees in sales, account management and support positions.
“We value Softcat as a technology partner and are pleased to see them open this major business centre close to us,” commented Mark Boorman, information technology director at BDO LLP. “They consistently deliver a high quality service in all areas; their pricing is keen, their technical support is of a high standard, our relationship at all levels is strong and we trust each other as partners. That final statement is possibly the most important one can make in any partnership. We are pleased to see them continue to grow and still remain close to their customers.”
Regional sales manager Richard Wyn Griffith is running the new office together with team leader Danielle Binnee. Mr Wyn Griffith commented, “This is an exciting move for Softcat. We are already enjoying fast growth, and we are confident that opening our London office will help us to grow faster still.”
He added, “Our first intake of London-based employees is settling in well, and we are looking for more talented people to join them. We believe that by offering the best possible professional training, salaries and opportunities to progress, we motivate our employees to build long-lasting, successful relationships with clients like BDO.”
Softcat has a reputation as an award-winning business. As well as winning Mid-Market Reseller of the Year at ACES 2010 and reaching number 55 in the Profit Track 100, it is currently The Sunday Times’ Best Small Company to Work For.
