The article, “U.S. Department of Energy Pushes for CHP in Industry,” highlights the efforts undertaken by the U.S. Department of Energy Industrial Distributed Energy program to promote the use of combined heat and power (CHP), waste heat recovery, and district energy technologies.

The authors also explain the role the eight DOE Clean Energy Regional Application Centers play in providing technical assistance for project implementation and educational efforts to overcome barriers to CHP technology adoption.
