Rockville, MD, United States, 2010/10/17 - The Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR) has announced the honorees for this year's Washington PR Woman of the Year Award. Donna Vincent Roa is one of the finalists.
Donna Vincent Roa, Managing Partner & Chief Strategist at Vincent Roa Group, a Maryland-based eco-communications firm, has been shortlisted for the 2010 Washington PR Woman of the Year Award by the Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR).
Dr. Roa is among the three finalists for the award, which is presented to a public relations practitioner in the Washington Metropolitan area for her leadership, integrity and community involvement.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony on Nov. 10, 2010, at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Washington, D.C. Dee Dee Myers, former White House press secretary, will serve as the keynote speaker.
An accredited business communicator (ABC) and the first professional in the DC Metro area to received a corporate social responsibility practitioner certification (CSR-P), Dr. Roa is a rainmaker, strategist, business communications process expert who builds best-in-class portfolios and re-engineers the way organizations communicate. She also serves as an Environment Commissioner for the City of Rockville, and was most recently the Public Affairs Director and Director of Science Communications at the US Environmental Protection Agency.
