The VGA Broadcaster product line consists of 3 different products, all of which have been updated to support more encoding formats, higher video capture rates, and more types of input.
VGA Broadcasters are devices that, depending on the variant, are from the size of a small novel to a full 4U server rack. All VGA Broadcaster devices are able to send high resolution video signals, such as those from a presentation, medical device, or any other computerized device over an Ethernet network or the Internet. Furthermore, all VGA Broadcaster devices now support the capture and transmission of an audio signal alongside the video.
VGA Broadcaster Lite, the budget version can transmit video at resolutions up to 1600x1200 to up to 25 conference participants worldwide, has VGA and DVI inputs for video and a stereo 3.5mm audio input. It is able to compress video into ASF, H.263 flash video and moving JPEG formats. VGA Broadcaster Standard adds H.264, RTSP, and MPEG-4 support to its list of functionalities and supports up to 100 participants simultaneously. VGA Broadcaster Pro is the most robust solution that includes support for video signals up to 2048x2048, balanced TRS audio, and an additional analog video stream.
