Campus TeleVideo, a leading provider of custom cable TV, data and voice services to over 220 colleges and universities nationwide, along with NBS, a leading communications and managed services provider and reseller, has completed a major upgrade to the student phone system at SUNY College at Old Westbury.
This new, state of the art hosted phone system was provisioned on NBS’ Voice over Internet Communications Exchange (V.o.I.C.E.) platform, which provides all the features and functionality that SUNY students had been receiving with the ability to add additional services such as voice mail and advanced calling features.
“Our partnership with NBS allows us to offer a cost-effective, triple-play bundle of services to 1,000 on-campus students at SUNY College at Old Westbury,” said Brian Benz, CEO of Campus TeleVideo. “NBS is a trusted service partner that provided flexibility to make installation seamless to the students and delivered the latest functionality, at an attractive value to the school.”
"This was a challenging environment involving significant logistical hurdles. NBS successfully navigated these obstacles to deliver a state of the art phone service to our students. We congratulate them on a job well done." Marc Seybold CIO, SUNY College at Old Westbury.
“It was great watching this project come to fruition,” remarked Russell Markman, President of NBS. “Campus TeleVideo and SUNY Westbury had a unique set of requirements, and I think our ability to meet those requirements speaks to the flexibility of both NBS and our V.o.I.C.E. service platform” he concluded.
NBS has been deploying its Hosted V.o.I.C.E. service nationwide over the past 5 years. From small to large sized businesses with satellite offices and remote tele-workers, to multi-dwelling unit (MDU) housing solutions, NBS’ hosted and SIP trunking solutions cuts costs and add functionality. NBS’ experienced NOC and support personnel provide an unparalleled level of service to its client base.
