Atlona Technologies continues to serve the custom installation and integration market with the upcoming release of their AT-HD800. The HD800 is a HDMI signal generator capable of testing any video resolution or timing in any digital format. The HD800 allows users to diagnose specific resolution, video timing, EDID, and color space issues in any DVI or HDMI video system.

The HD800 features 20 test patterns including 3D tests Side by side, Top and Bottom, and Frame packing, a format that is mandatory for all HDMI 1.4 devices. This powerful pocket sized signal generator features an HDMI output as well as an HDMI pass through to easily switch between test patterns and content from any other digital sources. “We wanted to create a signal generator that helped you do more than put up some colors or a grid on the screen” said Christopher Bundy, Atlona’s Director of Marketing. “We wanted to create a tool that helped installers figure out why they are having connectivity issues.”

The HD800 in controlled using timing select and pattern buttons on the unit in concert with LED indicator lights for power, digital format, pattern, and bypass options. Users can cycle through multiple patterns, or display information about connected sources or display such as EDID version, sink name, source name, resolution capabilities, etc.

The HD800 is powered through researchable double A (AA) Batteries, which can be swapped out for any off the shelf AA battery. The unit can also be powered using the included 12V power supply. The HD800 comes with a silicon sleeve that allows users to access the unit while keeping the unit protected on any jobsite.

The HD800 will start shipping on Wednesday, September 23rd with an MSRP of $299.00
