Barbara M. Drake of Alexandria, Virginia joined more than 40,000 Mary Kay independent business owners from throughout the United States and more than 30 of the Company’s international markets at the Company’s annual Seminar held in Dallas from July 17– Aug. 2.
Mary Kay Inc.’s annual Seminar is a business conference held each year in Dallas to educate, motivate and recognize the accomplishments of the rapidly growing Mary Kay independent sales force, which includes more than 1.6 million Independent Beauty Consultants in more than 30 global markets.
This year’s theme, “The Power of Pink,” reflects the many ways Mary Kay enriches women’s lives by praising them to success and then recognizing their achievements with fabulous rewards. The theme also encourages the independent sales force to embrace the concept of taking advantage of the Mary Kay business opportunity in order to meet goals, achieve dreams and celebrate accomplishments. Highlights from this year’s Seminar included classes on team-building, developing leadership skills, time management, proven sales tips and balancing career and family. General assemblies featured motivational speeches by Mary Kay Independent National Sales Directors, top Independent Sales Directors and executives from Mary Kay Inc.
Barbara M. Drake began her Mary Kay business in 1973 and is currently an Independent Beauty Consultant. At Seminar, Drake was recognized for achieving the National Queen’s Court of Sales.
