Marlow, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom, 08/20/2010 - IT provider Softcat, The Sunday Times’ Best Small Company to Work For in 2010, has selected two of its high-achieving young managers to run the new office it will open in Moorgate, central London, this October.

Regional sales manager Richard Wyn Griffith, 31, and team leader Danielle Binnee, 35, will run the new office as a partnership.
Over the next three years, the fast-growing company is looking to augment its London team by recruiting 100 high-quality graduates in sales, account management and support positions. A key challenge the management team faces will be to instil the company’s positive ‘work hard, play hard’ ethos into the new recruits. Following three weeks of initial training at Softcat’s head office in Marlow, the new employees will work alongside current employees moving to the London office.
“I think our quirky culture is a big part of what makes us so attractive to a lot of graduates,” commented Mr Wyn Griffith. “We’re excited about transferring the Softcat ethos to the London office. Of course, it’s good for our customers to see that we’re expanding, but the main reason we’re building a presence in London is to attract the thousands of bright graduates who choose to live there.”
“We want to hit the ground running,” added Ms Binnee. “To achieve that, we are looking to recruit and retain staff of a special calibre. We are here to motivate them, and give them the support they need to look after our customers and drive the business forward.”
Softcat has a reputation as an award-winning top employer. As well as giving its staff clear opportunities to progress in their careers, it offers student loan contributions, healthcare and dental plans, a company contributory pension, half-day holidays on employees’ birthdays, lunch at exclusive restaurants, and team-building activities. The company rewards high-performing employees with trips to exotic locations.
