(NYSE: JWa), (NYSE: JWb), will host a seminar on “Opportunities for Publishing in International Journals in Economics: A Guide for Scholars on How to Get Work Published” at this year’s 10th World Congress of the Econometric Society (ESWC). The Congress will take place in Shanghai from August 17th to the 21st, 2010. Hashem Pesaran (Editor, Journal of Applied Econometrics), Professor Fabrizio Zilibotti (General Editor, the Journal of the European Economic Association), and Professor Orazio Attanasio (University College London, Managing Editor, Quantitative Economics), who will also deliver the congress’s prestigious Walras-Bowley Lecture.
Topics to be presented and discussed within the seminar include opportunities for publishing in international journals in economics, how to get published and how to formulate an article, publishing standards and criteria, the value of publishing for the career of academic economists, new publishing models for economics, and open access publishing.
