London, United Kingdom, 2010/08/12 - Tamar, the UK's award-winning search and social conversion agency, has appointed Colin Smith as Associate Director: Insight & Analytics.
Colin will join Tamar’s management team and report directly to Tamar’s CEO, Tanya Goodin.
Tamar (tamar.com) has also made three additional hires to strengthen its Search and Commercial teams. Philip Cross joins from Steak Digital and will take up the position of Senior Search Campaign Manager and Grant Baxter joins the team as Search Campaign Manager from Adfero, focusing on content strategies. Ruth Zohrer will add to Tamar’s growing Commercial team, as Business Development Manager, and will focus on developing existing and new verticals in the agency’s target sectors.
Colin, who has 14 years’ experience in the public, NGO and commercial sectors, has previously worked for Tesco and the office of the e-Envoy. He will focus on building Tamar’s Insight and Analytics services, which strengthen clients’ digital marketing strategies by deploying a range of research and analytics tools, backed by strategic consultancy.
The Insight and Analytics team under Colin combines in-depth market analysis and bespoke research reports with forensic study of business sectors, products and channels to identify openings, threats and trends that drive digital strategy. This, in turn, arms clients with the knowledge to pinpoint critical opportunities and develop new business focuses.
Colin co-founded Guru Web Consultancy in 2003, providing usability, content, PPC/SEO and analytics strategy for a wide range of clients, managing the company until he joined Tamar, where his expertise will further strengthen the agency’s successful delivery of campaigns that focus on conversion.
