All three of Bailey Kennedy, LLP’s shareholders have been named 2010 “Super Lawyers.” John R. Bailey and Dennis L. Kennedy were named 2010 “Super Lawyers” for the third consecutive year and Joshua M. Dickey, a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in 2008 and 2009, received his first “Super Lawyers” distinction this year.
The three attorneys are among Nevada’s most renowned litigators. Bailey, the firm’s founder and managing shareholder, specializes in healthcare law and business litigation. Kennedy specializes in business litigation and professional liability and Dickey’s legal practice focuses on complex civil litigation, including disputes in such areas as commercial law, corporate law, business torts, and constitutional law. Kennedy is in his 35Th year of practicing law in Nevada. Bailey, a Las Vegas native, has been practicing for 25 years and Dickey has been practicing law for 12 years.

Bailey is one of the top health care attorneys in Nevada. He is a two-time past chairman and past member of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. He has served as vice chairman and a member of the Moral Character and Fitness Committee of the State Bar of Nevada for more than 15 years and is a former General Counsel for the State Republican Party. He has been recommended to the President of the United States for a Judgeship on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Kennedy is known as one of the state’s top commercial litigators. He has represented many of the country's leading drug, food, health care, insurance, tobacco, hotel-casino, and other companies in both the enforcement and defense of their rights. He is a former adjunct professor of law at UNLV’s Boyd School of Law and currently the co-editor of the Nevada Civil Practice Manual -- the definitive authority on Nevada civil practice and procedure.
Kennedy received another of the legal profession’s highest individual honors this year when he was given a “1” ranking in the Chambers USA 2010 listing of outstanding attorneys. Kennedy has been listed with a “1” ranking in the Chambers USA category of Litigation: General/ Commercial in Nevada every year since 2003.
In addition to Dickey’s work in complex civil litigation, he is a member of the State Bar of Nevada’s disciplinary board and is on the editorial staff of the Nevada Civil Practice Manual.
