Mark Wellman decided to step down from his duties as Vice President of Orchid MACDEE, Orchid Bio-Coat, Orchid Bio-Vac and Orchid Stealth Coating. Wellman was the owner of MACDEE when the company joined Orchid in 2002.
“Mark [Wellman] has decided to spend more time with his family and take a much deserved rest from work’s everyday pressures. We wish him well and will miss his wisdom as a team member,” said Mike Miller, Chairman and CEO.
Matt Burba, who has held several roles with Orchid in the past, has since stepped in to assume Wellman’s responsibilities at Orchid’s coating companies on top of his Vice President role at Orchid Stealth. Matt’s brother, Mark Burba, Vice President of Orchid Unique and Orchid Design, is now also responsible for Orchid’s plastics division, Orchid MACDEE.
“With Matt [Burba]’s involvement, I am confident that our coating companies will remain the gold standard in the industry,” Miller said. “And as Executive Vice President of Orchid Unique, our largest division, Mark [Burba] has distinguished himself as a great leader and he will help guide Orchid MACDEE on its continued journey to success, leading us to new heights in sales and profitability.”
Andrew Ferreri has been named General Manager of Orchid MACDEE, gaining full responsibility for all activities at the plastics division. Ferreri has played a key role at many of the Orchid facilities in the past few years as Plant Manager and Lean Manager.
“I am excited to work with Andrew in his new capacity as he leads Orchid MACDEE on its path of solving customer problems, continuous improvement, and growth using lean thinking,” said Mark Burba.
