Marlow, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom, 07/26/2010 - IT provider Softcat, The Sunday Times’ Best Small Company to Work For in 2010, will open an office in London in September this year to attract high-quality graduates for sales, account management and support positions.

The IT provider is looking to recruit 100 new graduates at its new premises in Moorgate in central London over the next three years. They will work alongside staff moving to London from Softcat’s existing offices in Marlow and Manchester.
“London is one of the best places to recruit,” commented Martin Hellawell, managing director of Softcat. “So we have decided it is time to build a presence there. We are growing quickly because we attract the best people. And because we look after them well, they enjoy their work and help us to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. Having a presence in the capital, where thousands of bright graduates choose to live, will help to ensure this pattern continues.”
Although Softcat offers its staff clear opportunities to progress in their careers, it is because of its positive – and unusual – culture that it has cemented its reputation as an award-winning top employer. As well as offering student loan contributions, healthcare and dental plans and a company contributory pension, Softcat offers half-day holidays on employees’ birthdays, lunch at exclusive restaurants, and team-building activities. It rewards high-performing employees with trips to exotic locations.
Shelley Ferrigno, recruitment manager at Softcat, said, “Our new recruits in London will enjoy all the same benefits as our current staff in Marlow and Manchester. We feel that our special ‘work hard, play hard’ ethos will make them want to stay and build a long-term career with us.”
