BlueChip Energy (BCE), a provider of turnkey solar energy solutions for residential, commercial, government and utility applications, today announced the introduction of a solar lease-to-own program for Florida homeowners that makes clean, renewable energy more affordable, accessible, and less expensive than electricity from local utility companies.

The BCE solar lease program is the first-ever residential solar leasing option of its kind in the state. As part of the program, BCE is providing its turnkey Fusion 5kW solar electric system that includes high efficiency monocrystalline solar panels, inverter, wiring, combiner box, and mounting hardware. BCE’s residential solution includes design, engineering, installation, permitting costs, monitoring, and a 25 year limited power warranty. The solar financing option is available immediately and will be offered until August 31, 2010.

The solar lease-to-own option is based on a down payment of $12,995, and a monthly lease payment of $100 that can be offset by a $100+ monthly reduction in the utility bill.
A solar leasing customer saves money each month from the day the system is installed, and generates an immediate return on their investment. As electricity rates rise, savings increase even more over time. Over 25 years savings are estimated to be over $100,000.

The BCE program is a 10-year lease based on 120 fixed monthly payments for the life of the lease with zero percent interest. The first month’s payment is due when the system is turned on. “This is a way for homeowners to take control of their electricity costs by locking in a low rate. Our mission is to make solar power financially viable for more Floridians today,” said Lawrence Hefler, spokesman for the company. “This type of financing program marks a leap forward in an effort to make solar PV more available and stimulate a more rapid movement toward renewable energy.”

Florida residents interested in learning more about the BCE solar leasing program can call 407-804-1000 for additional information, or to arrange an in-home solar consultation. As this is a limited-time offer, interested homeowners are encouraged to act now to take full advantage of the financial benefits of a solar lease.

To accommodate the growth in residential and commercial inquiries and installations, the company is hiring additional solar energy specialists, business development professionals, electricians, and solar installers. In June, the company announced a record number of solar installations for the first half of the year.

BlueChip Energy, LLC (bluechipenergy.org) is an alternative energy utility provider delivering turnkey, predictably-priced, renewable energy services for residential, commercial, government, and utility customers. BCE develops, finances, constructs, operates, and monitors solar plants. BCE is a licensed provider of renewable solar energy as a qualifying power production facility of 80 MW, with the right to sell electricity to a utility company.
