Zimbio.com announced the introduction of Linked Blogs, a feature that allows members to post their personal blog entries on the Zimbio network. For each entry, Zimbio includes a link back to the original article to help market the member’s weblog to a larger audience.
“Part of the mission of Zimbio is to help members find not only great content about a specific topic, but also great people who are passionate enthusiasts or experts about that topic. Many of our experts and enthusiasts on Zimbio are active bloggers who maintain a personal blog on Blogger, WordPress, TypePad, LiveJournal, Windows Live Spaces, or other blogging platforms,” said Danny Khatib, one of Zimbio’s founders. “Now with Linked Blogs, our members can easily promote their best blog entries on Zimbio.”
Zimbio.com offers information guides to help members quickly get down the learning curve on any topic of interest. Bloggers can post articles and entries about topics ranging from "Wedding Photography" to "Vietnamese Food" to "Senator Bill Frist." Members are in charge of each portal. They add, edit, rate, and organize content, evaluate contributions of other members, and can start new portals from scratch.
Zimbio.com is a community website that helps you research and learn about any topic. Zimbio’s network of Public Portals cover thousands of topics ranging from technology to politics to science. Public Portals offer multimedia bookmarking, group discussions, and tools such as RSS and OPML feeds to help you stay up to speed on your various interests.
