Southwest Infrared Services Announces the Opening of the Newest Service Area in the EnergyScanIR™ Network for Heat Loss Surveys

Southwest Infrared Services announces the opening of the newest service area in the EnergyScanIR™ network for heat loss residential and commercial surveys. Southwest Infrared Services is an infrared inspection business which has been in business in this area since 2009.

EnergyScanIR™ is a new line of service which provides energy surveys for home and business owners. EnergyScanIR™ contractors use infrared thermography to locate heat loss. EnergyScanIR™ is a network of trained infrared thermographers with a simple goal…to help customers save energy. The service contractors use high tech infrared cameras to find the exact locations of heat loss and air leaks in homes and businesses and then those areas can be surgically repaired to reduce energy consumption and utility costs.

Southwest Infrared Services has provided infrared inspection surveys in this market since 2009 and is owned and operated by Amy Powell.
Southwest Infrared Services performs multiple applications of thermal imaging surveys such as moisture scans, electrical and mechanical scans, equine scans, and now energy loss scans. “Saving energy is an issue for everyone these days since everyone wants to lower their energy bill. Plus, an EnergyScanIR survey allows you to contribute to the Green Movement by reducing your utility consumption and thus decreasing greenhouse gas emissions”, stated Ms. Powell.

EnergyScanIR™ is owned by United Infrared, a North Carolina corporation owned by Gregory R. Stockton and Peter Hopkins. “EnergyScanIR™ is a service whose time has finally come”, states Greg Stockton. Infrared Thermography is a proven diagnostic technique recommended by the US Department of Energy for identifying areas of heat loss. Considering a homeowner’s heating and cooling load can be up to 50% of their actual energy bill, a scan of a home can identify where those wasted dollars are going - no matter what type of heating or cooling system is being used.

“The most unique aspect of this service is that we are a nationwide network of local infrared contractors, which is what enables us to provide very affordable pricing for homeowners. For example, a basic survey for up to 2,500 square feet in our operational area is only $299,” says Peter Hopkins, the company’s VP and National Operations Manager.
