Adesta, LLC, a systems integrator and project management company for communication networks and electronic security systems, today announced that it received the Award of Honor with Distinction from the Greater Omaha Chapter of the National Safety Council. Adesta’s Safety Director, Denny Teymer, accepted the award on behalf of Adesta for eight consecutive years of outstanding occupational safety and health program results and achievements.
The award was presented in May during the Greater Omaha Chapter of the National Safety Council Annual Awards Luncheon. This took place as part of the Safety and Health Summit and Tradeshow at the Qwest Center, Omaha. Adesta has received the National Safety Council’s Award of Honor with Distinction in 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006, Gold Award of Honor in 2005, Silver Award of Honor in 2004 and Bronze Award of Honor in 2003.
The Occupational Safety and Health Awards Recognition Program was established by the National Safety Council in 1984 to encourage and recognize excellence in accident prevention and loss control programs. To be considered for an award, a company must have an incident rate and lost work day case rate the same or better than the latest available industry average for their Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) as recorded by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics Estimates of Occupational Injury and Illness Incidence Rates. All companies considered for award recognition must have a written injury/illness prevention plan or equivalent.
