YG.com, a leading provider of Internet gaming and online community tools, has updated their Aion database and tools in light of the recent release of Aion Patch 1.9.
Aion Online, published by Korean MMORPG giant NCSoft, is one of the most popular online games to date with 3 million subscribers in total as of January 2010. It's most recent update, Patch 1.9, went live on June 6, 2010.
The changes to the Aion YG network include the addition of the new 1.9 items to their item database and new zones in preparation for Patch 2.0, the addition of a “Hide Locations” option for their database Maps, the inclusion of a Search filter that allows users to sort search results according to the patches they were added in, NPC information (such as the skills they use and the quests they start/end), and an updated Stigma Planner. The new Stigma Planner now includes the three new Stigma slots added in 1.9.
“We always have to ensure that we keep our databases and tools up-to-date for the sake of the players who use them,” said Brian Higby, YG.com chief technology officer. “The whole point of creating and managing database sites like Aion YG is to provide players with the information and tools that they need to improve their gameplay, so we need to make sure that our networks contain the most accurate data and the most helpful features.”
Yellow Gremlin Network (YG.com), established in 2008, is a privately owned provider of Internet gaming and online community tools. Through its web site at yg.com, the company offers a collection of game databases designed and developed by computer engineers, and powered by proprietary technology to provide relevant support and information to online gamers and ensure in-game satisfaction. YG.com’s popular databases enhance the online gaming experience for massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) including Age of Conan, Aion and in April 2010, Final Fantasy XI.
In February 2010, YG.com took over the management of Lineage II Warehouse (l2wh.com) and Aion Warehouse (aionwh.com).
