TiroMedia is releasing a new version of its CMS (Content Management System) as well as a new firmware for it's TMP-N6 Digital Signage Player.

The upgrade adds new functionality such as:

• Template Support: The Templates allow images with dynamic text, color, etc to be generated automatically without re-creating the image. This can be used with Tickers or simply images with overlayed text (ideal for Digital Menu Boards, Public Announcement Systems, etc).

• Dynamic Download: If downloads during peak hours is an issue, the player can be setup (from the CMS) to only download content during a specific time period (ex: between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM).

• Serial Support: The TMP N6 can be setup to control the LCD, or other devices, through the Serial Port. Custom commands be programmed to be sent out at pre-set times. (ex: turn off TV at 10:00 PM).

• Enhanced Player Status: The new version of the CMS allows operators to access important pieces of data about players on the network. This includes used storage space, firmware version, etc.

The new version of the CMS is available to new and existing customers with a current upgrade agreement.
