Barco, a leading global provider of visual display solutions for simulation, virtual reality, and edutainment, today announced the return of Jay Luis as director of marketing communications. Mr. Luis will oversee the strategic direction and execution of marketing communications and new business initiatives for Barco's simulation acitivities in the Americas.
As a seasoned marketing executive, Mr. Luis brings to Barco more than 16 years of experience developing marketing strategies and programs for business-to-business industrial organizations. He also brings a proven track record of building successful global programs for technical product launches, direct marketing and advertising campaigns, and comprehensive public relations strategy. Most recently, Mr. Luis served as a director of marketing at Seapine Software, a leading provider of adaptable application lifecycle management solutions, where he assisted in the rebranding strategy, corporate positioning, and the development of vertical market solutions.
Previously, Mr. Luis was the business communications manager for Barco's simulation business where he directed the day-to-day marketing and technical communication affairs of the organization. Prior to this, Mr. Luis held a partner and vice president position at OIA Marketing Communications in Dayton, OH – one of the oldest business-to-business industrial marketing communication firms in the Miami Valley. During that time, he developed wide range of marketing, technical, and web-based communication programs for global organizations such as Standard Register, Nordson, Sheridan Systems, Panini North America, Advanced Financial Solutions, Industry Products Company, Staco Energy Products, Dow Chemical, and Shepherd Chemical Company.

Mr. Luis has an Associate of Science degree in electronic engineering from Sinclair College, Bachelor of Science degree in physical science from Capital University, and has attended the University of Dayton, School of Law for Juris Doctor.
