Snark Software, developer of applications for the iPhone and iPad, has recently released Ask God, an application allowing users to quickly access hundreds of Bible verses with a shake of their iPhone.
Ask God offers a variety of features to those looking for a fun way to get to know the Bible. When accessing the application, users can choose from over twenty modern and traditional topics, such as marriage, self esteem, work, worship, conflicts, and living in difficult times. After picking a topic, or simply clicking on "Ask God" users ask any question, shake their iPhone, and get an answer in the form of a Bible verse.
Favorite scripture can be shared with friends via popular social sites like facebook and Twitter with a click of a button.
“Ask God a fun application allowing users to access God’s Word in an entertaining way,” said Catherine Helzerman, Ask God developer and co-founder of Snark Software. “Users select a topic, ask a question, shake their iPhone, and get an answer in the form of a Bible verse. Some may use the app for guidance and inspiration or simply share favorite passages with friends.”
Ask God currently features verses from both the King James Version (KJV) and New International Version (NIV). Additional verses from both translations are planned to be included with each update.
Ask God is completely ad free. The application sells for 99 cents on the App Store and is available at itunes.apple.com/.
A limited amount of free copies are available to pastors, youth ministers, and other church leaders and Christian outreach workers. Anyone interested in getting a copy for evaluation before recommending Ask God to his or her congregation is encouraged to contact Snark Software for a promo code.
