Ecotech Institute, the first and only college focused entirely on preparing America’s workforce for careers in renewable energy and sustainable design, recently announced that Michael Seifert will serve as the school’s president.

An education industry veteran who brings more than twenty-five years of education management experience, Seifert is uniquely qualified to lead Ecotech Institute. “Mike Seifert is a leader in education and we are excited to have him at the helm of Ecotech Institute as we blaze a sustainable trail in education,” said Tom Moore, President and Chief Executive Officer of Education Corporation of America. “With demand for clean energy increasing daily, renewable energy and sustainable design are two sectors that are primed for growth and workforces need to be prepared and ready.”

In addition, he has a wealth of experience in the insurance industry and retail sales. Michael received his bachelor’s of science in Business Resource Development from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

“I am honored to be a part of Ecotech Institute, which will significantly transform the lives of students and the community through proven and informed renewable energy and sustainable design education,” said Seifert. “It is time for a college to provide practical degrees within the cleantech industry that have relevancy for the careers of the future.”
