iBAHN announced today that it has completed the full installation of High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) services, incorporating both wired and wireless connectivity in the Hotel Okura Amsterdam, which is part of the Japanese hotel chain Okura Hotels & Resorts.

Guests in the hotel will now enjoy wired and wireless access in its 301 guestrooms, conference facilities and common areas. Business travellers with sensitive corporate information will also benefit from the highest standards of data security through iBAHN’s Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) solution, which provides total separation between different wireless users.

In addition, iBAHN offers a Virtual Private Network (VPN) certification programme and almost unlimited IP addresses, which allows business travellers to connect easily to their own corporate network.

The installation will further enhance the reputation of the hotel, which boasts four restaurants, three of which have earned Michelin recognition.

Marcel van Aelst, President and General Manager, Hotel Okura Amsterdam, comments: “We chose iBAHN as our connectivity partner because it is a global brand that travellers trust. Furthermore, the Hotel Okura Amsterdam is now ideally positioned to take advantage of the flexibility and innovation that iBAHN provides in future digital service provision.”

Graeme Powell, Managing Director EMEA, iBAHN, adds: “The Hotel Okura Amsterdam is part of one of the leading hospitality brands in the world. Our local support in the Netherlands will ensure that the hotel will continue to offer the highest standards of connectivity and remain ahead of the competition in the provision of digital services that guests demand.”
