The Wiley Press Room was created to make it easy for journalists around the world to discover more about Wiley books, services, and corporate news and connect with the publicity, events, and communications colleagues who can provide the resources and information journalists need to do their jobs.
Designed to be a one-stop resource for researchers, producers, and journalists, the Press Room features:
• Corporate, per-title and article-level press releases;
• Breaking news announcements;
• High-resolution book cover images ready for download;
• Interactive product catalogs;
• Videos and podcasts;
• Links to author’s Twitter handles and Facebook pages;
• Suggested interview questions;
• Bonus book content and sample chapters.
In addition, visitors to the Press Room will be able to link to our new Wiley Authorities Speak site, which provides venues with a list of current and in-demand Wiley authors available for speaking, signing and virtual events.
Though designed for media, the Press Room also features information for Wiley authors and contributors, including An Author’s Guide to Online Marketing and Publicity, a comprehensive guide developed to help authors of professional and trade books navigate the modern marketing landscape. The guide contains case studies of successful online marketing campaigns and offers valuable insight into the new rules of marketing and PR.
“Journalists have told us how time consuming it can be to go to several sources for title information, high-resolution cover images, author sites and social media platforms, etc, so we designed the Press Room with that in mind and we hope it will provide the media with one home for everything Wiley,” says Lori Sayde-Mehrtens, Director of Publicity. “We encourage journalists to bookmark the page and check it frequently for updated information.”
Individual titles in the press room contain tabs to access the press release, and an additional click will link through to the full press kit when available. Corporate announcements are posted on the homepage as well as breaking news and information on our three core businesses--Higher Education, Professional & Trade, and Scientific, Technical, Medical & Scholarly (also known as Wiley-Blackwell).
