Salt Lake City, UT, United States, 2010/04/13 - Brandt Page, CEO and President of Launch, named Utah Technology Council's Emerging Executive of the Year.
Brandt Page, founder and CEO of Launch Sales and Marketing, an outsourced sales company specializing in B2B sales pipeline creation for their clients by providing lead generation, qualification, and appointment setting services, has been named the 2009 Utah Technology Council (UTC) Emerging Executive of the Year.
The UTC gave Brandt Page the award at its Annual Members Meeting on April 9 at Salt Lake City's Grand America Hotel. The meeting included addresses by Bob Gay of Huntsman Gay Global Capital and Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert.
"I was surprised to say the least," said Page. "To be selected as the Emerging Executive of the Year is an honor."
American Express has also selected Brandt to advise their national OPEN Forum Pulse on Twitter. He has been nominated for the "INC 30 Under 30" award in 2010, and was elected into the 2010 vSpring Capital Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs. Launch was recently featured in the Utah CEO magazine as the 6th fastest growing student founded company in Utah.
Along with speaking at several events, Brandt was the keynote speaker at the Utah Governor’s Student Business Summit. He is also a mentor for the Community Foundation of Utah and works with at-risk youth in Salt Lake City. He been on numerous panels and has judged business competitions.
Shortly after joining the UTC, the organization invited Brandt to serve on their membership committee, developing strategies to recruit new members. Within a few months, the UTC invited Brandt to be a speaker at its Sales Peer-to-peer meeting to speak about "Secrets of Success to Selling on the Phone". Launch fills its' clients sales pipelines through appointment setting and lead qualification.
Page grew Launch from a one-man shop operated out of his living room office to a business with nearly a dozen employees operating out of its own building with a national presence. In its first year of business, Launch experienced 500% growth in revenue, during what economists call a recessionary year. Launch's growth is particularly noteworthy to the Utah Technology Council as many of Launch's clients are technology companies based in Utah. Launch's most recent clients include Mindshare Technologies, Corporate Alliance, and Fishbowl Inventories.
Other recipients included Jeff Nelson of Nelson Laboratories as the CEO of the Year, Bruce Law of Sprout Marketing as the Marketing Executive of the Year, Chris Hellewell of Spillman Technologies as CTO of the Year, and Kent Thomas as CFO of the Year.
Page was quick to point out that the award is a recognition of other a number of other contributors.
