The Gamatronic Mega Power+ has the ability to save users over £4,000* per year when compared to a conventional UPS.
The Mega Power+ modular UPS is designed to grow in line with a company’s power requirements. It is available in up to ten linked 25 kVA modules to supply a total power output of up to 250 kVA. Furthermore it is available in two versions – the first in Gamatronic’s unique design, and the second able to fit into a standard 19-inch rack for complete flexibility.
It boasts a number of user benefits including:
• Complete reliability through N+1 parallel redundancy;
• Proven Ac/Ac efficiency of 96%
• Reduced heat dissipation to substantially reduce cooling costs;
• High density – 1,100 VA/Kg;
• Self-serviceable with hot swap modules to reduce downtime;
• Double conversion;
• Overall greener and cleaner power.
UPS Systems Managing Director, Tom Sperrey said: “The Mega Power+ UPS from Gamatronic offers savings of half the energy consumption of a conventional UPS. In today’s world where organisations are more conscious of their energy usage and carbon emissions, this really is a product that offers greener and cleaner power with phenomenal cost savings.”
Robert Hamilton, Managing Director at Gamatronic UK commented: “We chose UPS Systems as a reseller of the Mega Power+ because they are a clear leader in the UK standby power market. Their vast knowledge and expertise makes them a true authority on backup power and a company that we‘re pleased to be associated with.”
£4,000 per year savings is calculated as follows:
• Example based on an 80kW UPS with electricity costs at £0.10 per kWh;
• A conventional UPS with 90% Ac/Ac efficiency would incur annual running costs of £7,008;
• A Gamatronic Mega Power+ UPS with 96% Ac/Ac efficiency would incur annual running costs of £2,803.20;
• Therefore the saving to the end user would be: £4,204.80
