Dallas, TX, United States, 03/15/2010 - Mike Moore, of Shermco Industries, is slated to speak at the 28th annual South Central Joint Mine Health and Safety Conference in Shreveport, L.A., March 23-25.

Moore will be among the conference’s notable lineup of health and safety speakers, presenting on electrical safety issues concerning the mining industry, including arc flash and NFPA 70E compliance.
“Over the past 30 years, health and safety education and solutions have really come to the forefront of the mining industry,” said Moore. “Electrical safety certainly isn’t something this industry takes lightly.”
The yearly conference is held by the South Central District of the Mine Safety and Health Administration, which serves Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Hundreds of mining, contractor and vendor representatives from across the United States are expected to be in attendance.
The MSHA was formed by the United States Department of Labor in 1978. The administration enforces compliance with mandatory mining safety and health standards.
