Chicago, IL, United States, 2010/03/11 - DMG and MORI SEIKI, two worldwide leading machine tool manufacturers, will join forces in the United States.
Mori Seiki Co., Ltd (hereinafter, "Mori Seiki") has agreed with the German machine tool manufacturer, GILDEMEISTER Aktiengesellschaft (hereinafter, "DMG"), to assume all sales and service-related activities in the United States from April 1, 2010.
The new DMG / Mori Seiki USA will assume responsibility for all product support, regardless of whether the product is manufactured by DMG or Mori Seiki. Expanded service will be available to DMG users as existing product knowledge and expertise is transferred to Mori Seiki and its nationwide distributor network. DMG / Mori Seiki will also provide after-sales service, spare parts supply, training and engineering support.
Dr. Rüdiger Kapitza, Chairman of the Executive Board of Gildemeister Aktiengesellschaft, asserts that the timing for a strategic partnership between DMG and Mori Seiki is now. “Our joint innovative customer focus allows us to approach the challenges posed by the international economic crisis in a more targeted manner and to overcome them,” he says.
DMG and Mori Seiki are trendsetters in turning and milling technology. Advantages of the partnership include consolidation of parts inventory (located in Dallas), and an overall increased level of customer service for users of both Mori Seiki and DMG machines. The companies’ complementary resources will create an even stronger organization with a vast product line.
“The joining of superior technologies and strong sales and service networks brings greater productivity to our customers”, says Dr. Masahiko Mori, CEO of Mori Seiki.
