JRM & Associates, The Plybon Company and Sonoco-Corrflex have been named as recipients of the first annual TharpeRobbins Award of Excellence for Vendor Partnership. As a leader in the managed recognition and rewards industry, TharpeRobbins is passionate about bestowing recognition whenever it is deserved. So, it created these awards for its extended family of vendor partners.
“We attribute our success to the personalized service we provide to our clients and the professional communication we have developed with our manufacturers,” says Kenneth Sur, President of JRM & Associates. “The recognition from TharpeRobbins is a confirmation that our services are a cut above.”
JRM & Associates, which has been in operation for more than 30 years, serves premium and incentive clients in North and South Carolina. The company is based in Stallings, N.C. and acts as a direct factory representative for quality manufacturers and works with catalog incentive houses, sales promotion agencies and ad specialty distributors.
“Our goal is to be the low-cost global leader in providing customer-preferred packaging solutions to selected value-added segments,” says Dale Potts, plant manager at Sonoco-CorrFlex. “Partnering with TharpeRobbins has been a ‘win-win’ for both our companies. We are proud to be a recipient of the inaugural Award of Excellence.”
Sonoco-CorrFlex, based in Statesville, N.C., designs, manufactures, assembles, packs and distributes temporary, semipermanent and permanent point-of-purchase displays, as well as contract packaging, co-packing and fulfillment services.
“We are proud that our database software, resources, and industry experience provide lasting benefits for TharpeRobbins,” says Scott Plybon, Plybon Company vice-president. “We work hard to provide outstanding service and creativity as well as shortening our response times in order to meet TharpeRobbins’ needs.”
The Plybon Company, based in Matthews, N.C., is a family owned business that provides merchandise from top manufacturers such as Sony and Canon. Plybon employees live by the adage that service is the key to any successful client relationship.
“As a recognition company, we live, breathe and are passionate about honoring those who are exemplary,” says Brett Tharpe, TharpeRobbins’ CEO. “Recognition is about engaging others. Acknowledging the teamwork of superb vendor partners like JRM & Associates who make our business possible, is a great way to do that.”
Only nine vendors out of hundreds have been named as recipients of the first annual awards in honor of the flawless service and quality that has helped TharpeRobbins become the industry leader that it is today. The company plans to make the awards an annual recognition of its world class vendor partners.
The privately-held TharpeRobbins (tharperobbins.com) was created through the February 2007 merger of The Robbins Company, founded in 1892, and The Tharpe Company Inc., founded in 1981. Customized programs include products ranging from personalized jewelry to fine art, electronics, sports equipment and outdoor merchandise. The company also offers rewards through local and national services, entertainment and recreation.
The company headquarters are located on a 25-acre campus in Statesville, N.C. and include an extensive showroom and state-of-the-art distribution facility. The Attleboro, Mass., operations include creative services, software development and jewelry manufacturing. The company is ISO certified.
