Recently completed by owner and creative director, Belle Robinson, the Look Book was shot on the sunny beach of the island of Mustique. She summed it all up by commenting, “Perfect ingredients give stunning results. Achieving the beautiful images for Jigsaw Spring Summer 2010 Collection was pure pleasure from start to finish.”
The Team included well known artists that matched perfectly for this shoot. Bryan Adams has been able to make his photography as sensual as his singing. Art Director Vicki Russell, daughter of film director Ken Russell, brought creativity. The Oscar winning make up artist Valli O’Reilly flew in from working with Tim Burton on the new Alice in Wonderland movie. The highly regarded and established hair stylist John Vial came from Chelsea’s Real Hair. Izzy Good, India Wadsworth and Tatiana Danilchnko modelled tirelessly in their gorgeous looks.
The new Design Director Tess Richards gave the collection new beautiful fashion accessories and must have women’s clothes. Jigsaw’s Spring Summer combines dreamy frocks in tropical shades, cool & crisp linens, chic silhouettes for day and night and, as ever, desirable, delicious summer knitwear, all offering the variety tipical of Jigsaw.
The sugar sand beaches and turquoise seas with the warmth and beauty of the local people made a perfect backdrop for the hues and textures of this season’s essential collection mood.
Combining these ingredients achieve these photos which combine so much of what Jigsaw stands for, feminine fashion clothing, sensual silhouettes, and British humour.
The first pieces of the collection have started to arrive and are now available online. Among them there’s the 50’s block print dress : this bold print in rich, spring colours provides a complimentary silhouette fitted through the bust, with free movement in the hem. The Stone & Glass Mixed Necklace has also arrived. The mixture of polished stones and cut glass gives off a modern vintage feel. This necklace looks great worn over a white T-shirt for day then with a low cut dress for evening. The Retro Jersey Long Sleeve Stripe, one of the early arrivals, is a timeless Breton style top. It’s available in three perfect spring summer colours: sand, midnight and ocean blue.
