Following the launch of a number of new tax products from top tax software companies, Tax-Compare.com has been updated with 30 new tax software reviews. The reviews cover tax products from popular brands TurboTax, TaxAct, H&R Block and CompleteTax. The web site also features an easy-to-use Price Calculator, which helps users find products that match their needs and compare prices of similar tax products side-by-side.
“We’ve updated reviews and pricing information much earlier than we did last year,” says Tax-Compare.com developer Jason Flenniken. “So far, traffic to our site reflects a number of tax filers who are getting an early start to filing their taxes this year.”
Although there is no official date to begin filing one’s taxes, employers are mandated to mail W-2’s to their employees by January 31st each year. A number of employers send the forms earlier than the deadline, allowing employees to begin filing their taxes early. However, visitors to Tax-Compare.com are not required to have any forms or tax information in order to utilize the site.
“This is a great time to shop around for 2009 tax software products,” says Flenniken. “Granted, there are quite a few people who might use the same product as last year, but others might be looking for something newer, more cost-effective, or more reliable. What’s great is you can compare products and prices side-by-side on our site.”
