Delivery materials through weighbridge requires many operation steps starting from queuing, registering for weighing, pre and post loading. These processes are operated manually. At the end of weighing, it is needed to repeat doing data entry into ERP system for further process.

The above operations are not only waste time but also tends to have high error rate because of requiring human input. Simultaneously it easily opens rooms for man-made fraud which can cause financial loss to any enterprises.

With the extensive experience in RFID technology, Identify employs long range RFID technology to solve the above drawbacks. With our solution, it can both enhance the efficiency of this operation and protect human mal-practice on weighing.

Each truck has its own RFID tag which is firmly affixed on the windscreen and a long range RFID reader is installed proximity to the weighbridge. When the truck is on the weighbridge, its plate number will be automatically displayed on the weighing program. This can eliminate the repetitive job of the staff at the weigh station. He does not need to rekey truck license plate number every time when the truck is on the weighbridge. Simultaneously, this can protect the problem of cloning truck. Additionally, the RFID and weighing program is integrated with weighbridge. As a result, the problem of duplicating or artificial weight can be completed removed.

Identify (id.co.th) has implemented this solution with one of coal importers in Thailand. We have integrated this solution with three weighbridge stations. Approximately, there are 200 weighing transactions per day per weighbridge. With our solution, the operation process on these weighbridge can be reduced by half when comparing with the previous operation because the staff does not need to repeat keying truck plate number and does not need to do data entry at the end of day. We have extended our solution to integrate with SAP, therefore, we can also streamline the payment process as well.

Currently, Identify is working with one of weighbridge manufacturers to integrate our solution with his hardware in order to develop a hand-free weighting system. We aim to reduce the number of staff working at the weighbridge station. With the new system, we can ensure that the truck driver will be able to do the weighing (pre and post load) by himself with less monitoring.
