The Catamaran Company or Catamarans.com is the world's largest dealer of dual-hulled catamaran vessels. Catamaran Co. partnered with leading French shipbuilder Groupe Bénéteau SA to sell through its website. It has two offices in Fort Lauderdale, one in Annapolis, Md., and one in Tortola. One of the Fort Lauderdale offices belonged to 2Hulls USA LLC, a competitor that Catamaran Co. bought out. Every department at The Catamaran Company is fully computerized and networked. The office in Tortola, British Virgin Islands provides luxury sailing vacations.
The Catamaran Company specializes in catamaran sales, charter and services and offers a one-stop destination for buyers, sellers, persons who desire sailing vacations, and owners. The company also offers a range of value added services including insurance, documentation, and delivery, dockage, financing and yacht placement options. The Catamaran Company has 15 licensed and experienced brokers.
History
Since 1980, The Catamaran Company has been serving the boating community in the East Coast of the U.S. and Caribbean. Catamaran Co. started out as Catamaran Sailing Vacations and Sails, and was geared toward sailing vacation trips in the Caribbean. In the mid-1990s, South Florida automobile magnate Ron Esserman, who founded the company, renamed it Catamaran Co. He brought Hugh Murray aboard as president in 1996, and the two soon realized the real money to be made was in new boat sales.
Initially, the company sold mostly Privilège brand catamarans from Groupe Alliaura Marine, a shipbuilder based in Les Sables d’Olonne, France, that manufacturers semi-custom catamarans. It later partnered with Groupe Bénéteau, the world’s largest recreational boat builder, which makes more than 6,000 boats a year.

Established in 1991, Annapolis Catamaran Center specialized in multihulls and is the East Coast's largest Full Service Catamaran Facility with Sales, Service and Dockage.
Over the last 10 years the staff at Nanny Cay, Tortola have constantly raised the bar on service levels relating to diverse crewed and bareboat sailing vacations coming out of one of the most beautiful and functional charter bases in the British Virgin Islands. They also provide yacht repairs, yacht sales and marine equipment.
