The final series of the reality TV series Celebrity Big Brother hit our screens over the weekend, and this year’s contestants were greeted with an eye-catching decor as they entered Britain’s most famous house.
Flames on the walls, skulls embroidered onto the cushions, and red velour sofas in the lounge, the “gothic” interior is based around philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre's notion that, "Hell is other people". But perhaps the most outlandish room in the house is the kitchen.
Painted in a colour the producers have labelled "autopsy green", the room is designed to resemble a hospital morgue, with clinical stainless steel fittings and Damien Hirst-style pickling jars hanging on the walls.
