Below is the list of GE’s three new officers:
Roderick Christie, 47, has been named vice president of Eastern Europe regional sales at GE Energy Infrastructure. He has held leadership roles across the GE Energy business for more than 10 years.
Prior to his current position, Christie managed global services operations across Europe for GE Energy. He then went on to lead the sales organization as senior executive of sales for GE Energy Infrastructure, where he has been instrumental in driving growth through localization initiatives to position the business as a major technology and solutions provider for Central & Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS.
Christie holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Open University in the United Kingdom and a higher national diploma in Mechanical Engineering, equivalent to the first two years of a university course, from Glasgow College of Technology also in the UK.
Clarence Nunn, 44, is president and CEO of GE Fleet Services, a business within GE Capital. Nunn is a 17-year veteran of GE and has held several leadership positions across GE Technology Infrastructure and GE Capital globally.
Prior to his current role, Nunn was the chief commercial officer at GE Capital's Commercial Distribution Finance business in Chicago where he was responsible for leading marketing and business development activities globally as well as the Dealer Solutions vertical, an Imagination Breakthrough project that focused on utilizing a single-source to sell a full suite of GE financial products.
Since joining GE in 1992, Nunn has held key leadership roles in sales, marketing, product development and quality within several GE businesses in the United States and Canada, including GE Plastics, GE Capital - Canada Equipment Financing, GE Vendor Financial Services and most recently GE Capital’s Commercial Distribution Finance business.
Nunn earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from San Diego State University, received a master’s degree in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and was awarded a US Patent for the Method and System for selecting product colors using a computer.
Gary Sheffer, 49, has been named vice president of communications and public affairs at GE Corporate. Sheffer oversees external and internal communications across GE globally and provides strategic communications and public affairs advice to GE executives on a full range of corporate reputation issues.
Sheffer joined GE in 1999 after 17 years in journalism and government communications. For 10 years, Sheffer served as a press aide to two New York governors.
Sheffer earned a bachelor's degree in English from Siena College in Loudonville, New York, and today serves on its associate board of trustees. He is also a board member of several leading organizations for Communications professionals, including the Arthur Page Society, The Seminar, and the Institute for Public Relations.
