Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, United Kingdom, 2009/12/02 - Using the latest elearning technologies, LearningAge Solutions has created a new Rapid eLearning Development course via its virtual partner, the Ministry of Instructional Design (MID) - LearningAgeSolutions.com.
As organisations look to save money; the reduced cost of training per head, zero travel expenses and less time away from the business, make elearning a compelling option. The MID Rapid eLearning Development Course teaches trainers, L&D professionals and IT specialists how to make best use of rapid elearning tools to create effective and engaging elearning in-house.
The 40 hour course, developed in collaboration with some of the best minds in the UK elearning industry today – Clive Shepherd, Jane Hart and Patrick Dunn - employs 3D gaming environments, webinars, social networking and collaborative learning to create, not only a course which teaches elearning design and development, but a learning resource that grows organically as participants contribute to it, share knowledge, experience and best practice.
A pilot enrolment was run over the autumn with hand-picked trailblazers to test out the course. The trailblazers were selected to be the most critical reviewers.
Cheryl Daubney of GKN plc said: "The course is a great experiment in how to do things a bit differently and taste all the great new learning technologies out there”
Kevin Brace of JISC said: “I believe the approach to the design of this "course", the underpinning pedagogy and innovative web 2.0 platform is indeed trailblazing”.
LearningAge Solutions Managing Director, Rob Hubbard, said: “The Rapid eLearning Development course was created in response to increased demand from clients and the L&D sector. It is hands-on, extremely practical and from the feedback, totally different to any other elearning course out there. It has the potential to save companies a huge amount of money by giving them the skills and know-how to develop their own elearning using the very latest technologies.”
On completion of the course, learners will have the skills needed to write effective written copy, record and compress audio, shoot and edit video and create their own five-minute elearning module.
