The new INSTEON product not only allows for remote On/Off control of lights and appliances, it has also been tested and rated for outdoor use, offering protection against precipitation and extreme temperatures.

The 3-pin On/Off module is designed to be plugged into any wall outlet, and can control incandescent loads up to 1500 watts and appliances up to 15 amps.
The ApplianceLinc INSTEON Outdoor Plug-In On/Off Appliance Module is currently available for $45.99 at Smarthome.com on a pre-order basis, and is targeted to ship mid-December.
