Enjoy beautiful, fascinating and popular Bollywood dancing this weekend! STEPZ Dance Company proudly presents its exciting Winter Funk Show, showcasing the performance of its highly trained students. All student age groups will perform, including children as young as three years old. The event takes place on Saturday, November 21, 2009, 5 - 8 pm at Carlmont High School Performing Arts Center, 1400 Alameda De Las Pulgas in Belmont.
“We are thrilled and delighted to be presenting our popular show once again,” said Deepika Jain, CEO and Artistic Director at STEPZ. “Our students are very excited to demonstrate what they’ve mastered – and they’re really good!” A dancer and choreographer throughout her life, Deepika recently performed on the television special Bollywood in America. STEPZ has also been featured in the Contra Costa Times and the Oakland Tribune.
STEPZ is one of the only Bollywood dance studios in the Bay Area that gives its students an opportunity to perform after six months of training. As Bollywood dancing is gaining momentum as the popular new dance trend, STEPZ offers a variety of classes at different skill levels for both children and adults. Classes for the January-March session are now available in several Bay Area locations.
