Eye Care Associates, a leading multi-site practice offering comprehensive eye health care throughout the Triangle, Sandhills, Burlington and Wilmington, is proud to announce it has been named to the Triangle Business Journal’s top 50 fastest growing private companies. Every year, the Triangle Business Journal announces the 50 fastest growing private companies in the Triangle based on an analysis of three-year revenue and profit metrics. Making its debut to the list, Eye Care Associates was ranked at number 35.
Eye Care Associates’ growth this year is best exemplified in its addition of two new offices: one in Burlington, which opened September 1, and another in Raleigh at Leesville Towne Center on Strickland Road, which opened in February; and, through the expansion of an already successful Brier Creek office, which almost doubled in size. In its responses for the “Fast 50 Award,” Eye Care Associates noted, in spite of a down economy, it improved revenue and profitability without sacrificing quality patient care or service, and that management is looking forward to the possibility of another three to four office openings or acquisitions in the next 12 months.

This is the third consecutive year the practice made the list, and the first time it placed as a top three finalist. It was also the first year Eye Care Associates was entered in the large company category (151 workers or more), reflecting their continued growth.
Announced in Metro Magazine’s August/September edition, the publication’s readers named Eye Care Associates the “Best Eyecare Center,” awarding it with their coveted Standing Ovation award as part of its 2009 MetroBravo Awards. Competing businesses were located from the Triangle to the coast of North Carolina.
In August, as part of the Independent Weekly “Best of the Triangle” awards, readers named Eye Care Associates as the “Best Optometrist in the Triangle” and nominated the company as a finalist under the “Best Place to Buy Eyewear” category.
